Product Description
It's called the Bicycle "TRAGIC ROYALTY" deck and as you can see, it bears little resemblance to any previous Bicycle deck. The cards were printed with a gray background, and the suits are stylized just a little. The Rider Backs also are different, printed in gray, red and black. But what makes the deck truly unique are the court cards, with faces that are ghoulish and goofy...hence the name, "Tragic Royalty." AND THEY GLOW UNDER BLACK LIGHT! Magicians will LOVE the opportunities this offers for their shows. The decks are top quality Bicycle, fresh and wrapped in cellophane.

Just a regular deck with a neat twist. We haven’t tried them under a black light, because we don’t have one. Can’t wait to!

Some years ago Target was selling these, and at least the ones I’ve visited I can no longer find them. These make great party favors to give away at Halloween parties, or great cards to play cards with at a Halloween party.

These cards were a birthday gift for my guy because he loves playing cards and loves things that are funny/spooky. These cards are artistic (in a sort of Edward Gorey way) and unique. Each of the “royal” cards is totally unique. It is definately one of his favourite sets!

These cards are AWESOME in black light! Love the different faces on the royal cards. Halloween is a perfect time to bring out these cards and play with friends.

I collect playing cards for their designs. Many of the decks in my collection have unique backs, Jokers, and the Ace of Spades, but the face cards are usually standard.
This deck is 100% unique. Each outward angle of the diamond, club, heart or spade has a flourish, EACH face card is unique and different, and the numbers and letters on the cards are also unique. The only cards that are standard are the Jokers…weird. The cards themselves are grey, both front and back with black, white and red ink. As for the quality, I’m finding them not to be the stiffest card stock, but they’re not the weakest either. Just keep in mind that it’s most likely meant to be a novelty deck.
Bravo to Bicycle!

These cards are unlike any others, except maybe Guardian cards. Those are also badass. These cards are very durable, it is almost as if they are made out of steel. The design is also very gothic, with sometimes funny designs for the Kings,Queens, and Jacks. Definently worth the 5 bucks.

I’ll start with the aesthetic value of the deck. At first glance I thought it was a little on the ugly side, but it grew on me. Upon closer inspection (especially so with the court cards), the artwork itself is rather nice. It makes the court cards stand out a bit more. Very original IMO. I have to admit, I’m more than a little bored with just about every deck using almost identical art for the court cards. This is a nice change.
A word on quality… The stock seems a little on the thin side, and the deck has a smooth finish. So, they may be good for card games, or display. I imagine they would also be decent for some magic tricks, but I wouldn’t use them for card manipulation, but that’s just based on my preferences.
Bottom line? It is a nice looking deck, and perhaps an interesting/fun alternative to standard poker cards. So, despite minor drawbacks, this is still a four star product in my opinion.

these cards are cool. they seem to be alittle thin. you cant play with them long before you bend them. but a cool card no less.

A previous reviewer gave this a bad review which I do not understand. I purchased two decks of these cards = they are US made (not China) quality cards from Bicycle. The colors and faces are really neat and unusual. Even without a black light, they’re fun to play with.
