Day 6 of the 2011 WSOP Main Event saw the remaining 142 player field whittled down to just 57 contenders. All the players who succeeded making it through to Day 7 are now guaranteed at least $130997 for their hard fought efforts. Losers Amongst the 85 players sent to the rail on Day 6 was 2010 WSOP finalist Joseph Cheong ($54851), who called Phil Collins’ all-in bet with Ad-Qd only to discover his opponent was holding pocket aces. Other notable names eliminated on the day included Eli Elezra ($54851), Finland’s Jens Kyllonen ($54851), Sorel Mizzi ($64531), Ray Henson ($64531), Christian Harder ($64531), Claudia Crawford ($76146), Allen Cunningham ($108412), Jean-Robert Bellande (108412) and Amanda Musumeci ($130997). Winners With Day 7 blinds resuming at 25k/50k with a 5k ante, the overnight chip leader is Ryan Lenaghan on a 12.865m stack, helped along by a pot he won in excess of 10m. He was dealt JJ and six bet Follian (AQ), with both players then all-in pre-flop. “I definitely wasn’t trying to flip for that many chips. It was just a spot where I thought he could have a lot of hands and try to make a play on me because of our history, so I just went with it.
